Hallo Leute,

hat jemand mal daran gedacht das Löseprogramm Popeye an das
Winboard zu koppeln? Natürlich nur die Teile die funktionieren, nicht die exotischen Varianten ?

did someone tried to connect the chess solving program Popeye to Winboard ?
Of course i know that not each varaint would function but at least orotodox mates, selfmates, helpmates, could function ? ...
(a separate window output would be nice too...)

Michael
PS English German translotion is not "word to word"
so please don't complain ...

I've never took the time to figure out how to use Popeye, it does not appear to have any use for Winboard though. I've heard that it's a good mate solver but I think you'd need to use it as it is, not with Winboard.

Popeye is only a mate solver for regular and fairy chess. It does not play like a chess engine, and it understands only its own strange popeye langauge.
You can get popeye from my ftp site
