ONE very hot game has finished. CSTal2.03 versus Rebel-Tiger12.0E
was a very painful game for me. I like both programs much, and my heart was with both of them, so i could only lose playing it out.
The second point was: the game turned few times, so first cstal was ahead in a nice king attack rebel-tiger has not seen at all, than tiger outsearcherd cstal in the endgame, and at least, it was a technical draw tiger has not realized accurate enough.
i will post my comments to the game, with evaluations and main-lines of the 2 programs in chris whittingtons forum at oxford-softworks.com.
this will take a little time, i have to replay the game to get the scores and main-lines manually since both programs only save them
when autoplaying.
Here the complete game without comments:

Please recognize that bean-counter ideology would see (without replaying the game) only the result, not knowing anything about
the things happening in the game itself. they only count 0.5 points,
without recognizing about the content of the game between cstal and tiger. how can you ever MEASURE such a game with NUMBERS alone?

The standing so far is:

Tournament: Millennium-Tournament
Place Name Sco MBch Buch Ws
------------------------------------------------------------
1 CHESS SYSTEM TAL 2.03, (12) 6.0 26 33½ 4

INSOMNIAC 0.61, (19) 2.0(1) 16½ 21½ 1
20 COMET B15, (20) 1.5(1) 16½ 23½ 1

As you can see shredder4 could lead the tournament if it would now win against chessmaster6000. also you can see that junior6a and chessmaster6000 could reach 6 points too if they would win. junior6a has to win against rebel-century 1.2 to get the 6 points.
so now the top positions will be decided with the games:
1. SHREDDER4, (2) - (10) CHESSMASTER6000,
3. JUNIOR6A, (11) - (5) REBEL-CENTURY 1.2,
In the moment i am playing shredder4 - chessmaster6000.
it is a B14 game, Caro-Kann/Panov-Attack and shredder is in a weaker
position. Chessmaster played very strong and evaluates 1.19 for itself, shredder says -1.29-- in permanent brain having a fail low. the game is in move 27. but it seems chessmaster is not playing the expected move Rc2. Right, it moved Bf8 instead of Rc2.
