Hi everybody,
I have recently completed two ML tournaments. They were played under quite different conditions.
1st tournament (Celeron 433, 32 MB hash (where possible), 15 minutes/game)
7-round Swiss System with 14 engines
1. Dragon 3.11 7.0
2. Rival 1.8.17 5.0
3. Colchess 6.0 4.5 28.5
SSEChess 2.02 4.5 20.0
5. La Dame Blanche 2.0c 4.0 29.0
Averno 0.27 4.0 25.5
7. Amyan 1.01 3.5 31.0
DChess 1.0.2 3.5 30.5
Cilian 4.13 3.5 25.5
Sjeng VI 3.5 21.0
11. Faile 0.6 3.0
12. Freyr 0.960 2.5
13. Snail 1.03 1.5
14. Crux 1.9-1.10 0.0
Remarks:
(1) Crux lost all (!) of its games on time!
(2) Snail always opens with Na3 if not instructed otherwise on the command line.

2nd tournament (Pentium 166, 4 MB hash (where possible), 15'+10" (incremental clock))
Round robin with 10 engines
1. Dragon 3.11-2 8.0
2. Amyan 1.01 7.5
3. Averno 0.27 6.5
4. Sjeng VI 6.0
5. Crux 1.9-1.10 4.5
6. ColChess 6.0 4.0
7. Snail 1.03 3.0
8. Freyr 0.960 2.5
9. LarsenVB 0.2 1.5 43.5
TSCP 1.5 1.5 43.5
Remarks:
(1) No trouble with Crux this time, only once it stopped playing in a position where its opponent had only king left, while Crux had KQP.
(2) TSCP always makes its move immediately. No wonder it collected few points.
(3) The Freyr-Colchess game (scheduled for the last round) had to be decided by arbiter's decision, since I replaced Colchess 6.0 with 6.1, and it did not make a move! Unfortunately, I had deleted the previous version.
Cheers,
Gabor
P.S. Regrettably, I haven't saved the games.

These results seem to be more accurate (at least for my program) then other that have been posted recently. Actually, though I've improved the speed by a factor of x2, my prog seems to play a little weaker now in very fast games (5 minutes or less) and much stronger in slower games (>10 minutes).
I'm must add that I'm happy with these results.
Thanks,
José C.

Splendid news :) Well I can't complain about that particular result. ColChess 6.1 should play even better with improved time control and a larger opening book
(Which I'm currently training against Crafty, Gromit, Phalanx, SSEChess and Amy)
Another pretty good result. Possibly more accurate than the previous one I would have thought.
Thanks a lot for your tournament results. I'll put them on my webpage.
Cheers,
Colin
