Hello,
Can anybody remind me what's the difference between the four Amy 0.7 variants? The bench command shows that variant 1 (without mps) and 2 are about 5% faster than variant 3 or 4.
One of the variants created a learn.db file. I don't know which and how.
P.S. to Frank: I played a 10-game match between an Amy with your book and another with mine (created from the Elista Olympiad games, flattened). Your book won 8-2, but there were identical games.

Version 1 displayed the wrong version number when executed in text mode.
Version 2 had problems with EGTB access, I think.
Version 3 had minor problems and ponder on didn't work under WinBoard
Version 4 no problems found so far.
I don't think any of the versions create a learn.db. You do that by typing prefs Preferences (file with unwanted moves in book).

Do not use any version except the latest one. The first one was a tiny bit faster because it was not compiled for multi-threading. So on a single CPU it will be a tiny bit faster. But it was full of serious bugs. Only the last one is reliable.
