Standing after 8th round:
1) TCB 0045 (6,0/8=75%)
2) ZChess 1.61x (5.5/8=68%)
3) Crafty 17.11 (4.5/8=56%)
4) Gromit 3.0 (4.5/8=56%)
5) Yace 0.20 (4.0/8=50%)
6) Amy 0.7 (3.5/8=43%)
7) AnMon 5.09 (3.0/8=37%)
8) Comet B23 (1.0/8=12%)

Minor suprises maybe..I always said TCB was underestimated..
Zchess1.61 seems good..Crafty can't always be first...so 3th is not bad..
Suprised by poor performance of Anmon509 though..

TCB and Gromit are using the book "fritz4.fbk". I had completely overseen that both programs come with their own books. Is it possible that these original books are not working under the ChessBase GUI? This may be the reason for not using them under WinBoard.
Best wishes

I don't think Gromit comes with a book, if memory serves me right. However, the TCB package contains a small 11Kb default book. The reason that many uses the Fritz4.fbk is mostly due to size I think.
I just wanted to know which book you're using, so that I can compare the results with my own. Fritz4.fbk looks to be an okay choice for TCB.
Best wishes...

I have checked and can now confirm that Gromit has no book and TCB only a very small one. Hence, it is clear why I am using the fritz4.fbk.
Best wishes
