Hello,
A nice New Year gift to the computer chess community. Goldbar 99, a strong
Dutch program by Bart Goldhoorn, can be downloaded from
www.computerschach.de/freeware or from www.cent.co.yu/chess. My first
impressions: a strong 32 bit program, crisp graphics, lots of fun. Help needed
from our Dutch friends -- the commands are in Dutch. Of course, one can manage
to play games, etc. easily, but to get the hang of all the options, Dutch is
needed ) Thanks to Bart Goldhoorn, and the good jinni, Frank Quisinsky.
Important note: Goldbar 99 is NOT WB compatible ( It has its own nice GUI.

That's a nice program, very different, it's a guessing game for me getting it started though because I don't no what kind of questions Goldbar is asking me. But it can be done without knowing any Dutch at all.

Hello Djordje,
the problem is that Goldbar 99 is a Delphi program. The programmer will make his Goldbar WB compatible but is this possible under Delphi ?
WB or not WB, it is a fantastic program with a nice GUI !
I think 2300 - 2400 ELO !
Any idea (Delphi and WinBoard) ?
When people can help Bart I give the eMail adress from Bart.
Goldbar 99 is a nice program and play in the last years many Dutch tournaments. See the webpage of Theo van der Storm or in my tournament database !

Someone who posted at rgcc said that someone had actually figured out how to interface Delphi programs with Winboard, but didn't give any examples of it having been done, so I don't know if it's _really_ true. It was somebody from over there in Germany, I don't remember the name though.
