That's hard to say about Crafty, I have the last Dos version of Crafty that was available for download at Hyatt's site (v14.8) and Gambitsoft has version 9.3 (also a Dos version [not for Winboard]), also see Gazebo at Gambitsoft, because that has a few programs in that package, one of which is obviously Crafty, but as I recall has a different name.Seems like comet versions are coming out extremly quickly..I haven;t even got time to test CometB12 properly and here comes along another version..Hello,

Crafty versions also appear quickly..
BTW Does a Crafty 1.0 exist? It would be interesting to see how far Crafty had progressed by playing a tournament with Crafty1.0, 5.0 ,10.0 ,15.0 etc..
If I remember right, Gazebo is from Stuart Cracraft. However some credit is given to Bob Hyatt. This is certainly not Crafty.

You might be very lucky if you could find a Crafty v1.0, it may have been pre-Winboard, chances are very good that it was never compiled to work with MS operating systems, hard to say. You might try asking at CCC.

I'm afraid that you are not right. A few days ago, I have detected a very annoying bug in permanent brain modus. I guess that this had already spoiled some games in past whith pondering enabled. I'm glad that I could detect and correct this prior to the IPCC event. (New version is on its way to Frank.)[....If I remember right, Gazebo is from Stuart Cracraft. That seems to be true, the Dos version of Gazebo has obveous Crafty influence, I just took another look at it Friday. I have no idea how much though, but Gazebo is Stuart Cracraft's program.
BTW, I was using the Dos version of Comet B13, and it knows when it's checkmated me now, it say "my dear friend, you've been checkmated" instead of "illeagal input" now (I probably didn't quote Comet correctly!) and as far as I know, everything is working well.
