Hello,
During the last overnight match between Crafty and Phalanx 22 (Dann Corbit version), i had an error in the third game.
Crafty has white and his move was e4. Winboard gives me the message.
Unexpected move by chess program.
(black lost on time because he didn't make a move)
Any suggestions ???
Sometimes i had this problem with Goliath 2000 V2 too.
BTW : A question to Dann. Is it possible that your version of Phalanx 22 is almost 30% faster on my AMD k6-2-400 than the CYGWIN version ??

I am surprised if Phalanx 22 is that much faster on an AMD because it was targeted specifically at PII or PIII architecture. It is usually a lot faster on those machines (by design) but I do not expect it to run much faster on AMD.
Phalanx can do a NPS measure. Why not try both and see what you get?
