You are right Volker. Do you happen to have Roland's email address? I wish to drop him a note and get his permission. At the least there should be acknowledgements given to him at my webpage. Simply putting (as I had already done) :
"If there is an owner of any of the above photos who feels strongly against the use of the photo in this page, please let me know and I will gladly remove it."
is not enough. I should have been more thoughtful. Thanks for pointing out and thanks in advance for Roland's email or where to find his email address.

There is a small collection of photos of some computer chess people on my pages, in the section named The Rogues' Gallery. The acknowledgements are there where they should be :-)

Look up under www.cent.co.yu/chess or www.computerschach.de/freeware and click on the Rogues' Gallery hyperlink.

Yes, at least. Secondly perhaps it would have been a good idea to ask me before you copy the photos from my site. I have had some effort to edit them. You have _my_ OK to use them. But I do _not_ speak for Roland. And commercial use is prohibited. Thirdly (and that is most important I believe): we have also asked some people visible on the photos if _they_ would mind. There is a simple reason for this: according to German law it is _forbidden_ to take or publish photos of a singular person without their permission, except this person is someone of "public interest". Some photos has been deleted after this. I don't know anything about the laws in your country.
Remark for everyone who wants to re-publish something from my site: it would be appreciated to ask me _before_ you do it.

I thought about it.
I put up my webpage strictly for fun and why get myself into trouble with any laws regarding the photos. So, I have removed the contents in question from my site permanently.
Apologies to All, esp. Roland and Volker.
