Spanish WinBoard

VenTablero!

The first complete dynamic translation of WinBoard 4.5.pre0 is now available, in Spanish. Óscar Toledo made the language file for it. I hope that other translations will follow. The international version, together with the Spanish language file, can be downloaded from:

http://hgm.nubati.net/winbo_int.zip

To sart it up in Spanish, use the option /language=español . It should also be possible to switch language interactively through the Help menu, but this is still experimental, and might be a bit 'over the top', so I am not sure I will keep that.

Note that the dynamic translation is still in the testing phase, and that some cosmetic problems still exist. (E.g., not all buttons are drawn large enough to accomodate the translated text, so that it is only partly visible.) Before adjusting the dialog sizes, I would like to await some more translations, though, so that I can accomodate all worst cases in one big swoop.

Not yet.

If you want to volunteer to make one: Just download http://hgm.nubati.net/language.txt , put it in the same folder as the Spanish WB, and rename it to portugese.lng. You can then start to put in the translations with any text editor, and observe the results as you go by starting WB with the opton /language=portugese.
