Don't worry Marco, we'll make it work sooner or later :)

Yes Vajolet will play in my next Promo tournament, that will start in mid-September. Games are broadcasted live, with chat.

and then run:
depends "vajolet 0.33.exe"
in the folder where you are keeping the chess program.

It will give a report of all the dll files, com objects, etc. that vajolet is looking for on your system and it will also tell us which ones are causing the problem.

Thanks again Dann !

Here is the report :

This is a real puzzle.
The two missing DLL files are the two that are always missing:

I don't see any reason why it would not run.

the exe shouldn't work at all without .net runtime environment, instead, if you only remove chesslib.dll form the directory where the exe is locate it will start and after few moment it will crash

What gets printed out when you type:

and hit the return key?

Solved :)

Somebody suggested to download the files again by using the "view raw file" option... I did so and now the engine runs !

Hi Marco,

Image

I usually don't like to use photos for logos as they never look good when shrunk
down very small, but this one isn't too bad.

i'm rather new to "chess programming", should I do something to add the image to the engine? or it's only a winboard/arena configuration?

thank you very much
