Is there an utillity to create opening book from saved game files or convert existing cyclone.obk book to winboard-xq format?

Unfortnately not. I have devised a way to convert the Elephant Eye book to Polyglot format (the format used by WB). It involved converting XQWLight (which uses Elephant Eye book) into a utility for recursively walking through the opening tree, and dumping all positions and moves on a file. I then wrote another utility to sort that file and cast it in Polyglot format.

Elephant Eye does come with a book-making utility, though. I never used it, but I suppose it could convert game collections into books, on which I could bring to bear the utilities I made.

I would love to create my own book can you post your 2 utilities and some instruction on how to. thanks
