pgnres text in this forum

Does anyone know of a practical way to get the text from a pgnres text file to display properly in this forum? It mat only be in my browser (Netscape) but everything gets pull out of shape when I read the posts where I've pasted pgnres text into.

Hello Pete,
to do this you can use the "pre" "/pre" html-tags. All text between this tags will be shown as seen in the dos box. Just copy and paste the output of pgnres.
Example:

F:\Programme\WinBoard>pgnres protokoll /s
Results from file protokoll.pgn:
No. Name Win Draw Loss Unf. Score Games %
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1 Wcrafty1619 +1 =0 -0 *0 1.0 1 100.0%

I don't understand what you mean when you say ""pre" "/pre" html-tags" or "tags". Maybe that's something I'll see in the next screen? You seemed to get yours to display ok though it looks like to me. (I didn't see anything wrong)

Thanks, I took a quick look at the page but didn't read it completely, I'll give it a try. A note about pgnres since it occurs to me that you're copying the results from the Dos box, I overlooked that yesterday, what I do with pgnres goes like this in order to output pgnres' text to a text file:
pgnres knightx.pgn /s > knightx.txt
and that of course sents the output to the knightx.txt file. My test of the tags below.

It's possible to use all html tags in this forum. For a detailed explanation of the pre element please follow the link below.

Thanks, I took a quick look at the page but didn't read it completely, I'll give it a try. A note about pgnres since it occurs to me that you're copying the results from the Dos box, I overlooked that yesterday, what I do with pgnres goes like this in order to output pgnres' text to a text file:
pgnres knightx.pgn /s > knightx.txt
and that of course sents the output to the knightx.txt file. My test of the tags below.

Hopefully this will though, "pre" has to be surrounded by "" all of this without the quotation marks of course, the same thing for "/pre" which is put after the pgnres text. Then everything should display properly (other than the added space between lines, an acceptable trade-off)
