HELP!!!: I am screwing up with ANMON, but nothing........

I wish to run Anmon 5.09 under winboard (latest version); I made a shortcut of winboard.ini and in the properties, I replace the target words with these others: "C:\Program Files\WinBoard\winboard.exe" /cp /fcp=AnMon509.exe /fd="C:\Program Files\winboard\AnMon"
But it hangs.....
I must say that my winboard is in C:\program files\winboard
and than Anmon is in C:\program files\winboard\Anmon
How must I do? Where and how to insert xboard command?
Pls be clear, I am only a chess lover but not a programmer....

I haven't tried running AnMon with WinBoard like that, but the command xboard should follow the name of the executable. So it's either:
/fcp="AnMon.exe xboard" or /fcp=AnMon.exe xboard I think.
Sorry, but that's the best I can do when it's close to midnight.

I haven't tried running AnMon with WinBoard like that, but the command xboard should follow the name of the executable. So it's either:
/fcp="AnMon.exe xboard" or /fcp=AnMon.exe xboard I think.
Sorry, but that's the best I can do when it's close to midnight.

There is another change needed , try this one :
"C:\Program Files\WinBoard\winboard.exe" /cp /fcp="Anmon509.exe xboard" /fd=\"C:\\Program Files\\winboard\\Anmon\\"
The one who decided to have a default folder of Windows Installatation have a space in its name should have been shot to the moon as reward IMHO.

a.) the exact error message you get if possible
b.) post the exact shortcut you use at the moment
I suspect you just have a typo in it or similar ; then I can later look at it at home .

Fine , so you didn't change it at all as proposed it seems
Please at first try change target from
/fcp=anmon509.exe to /fcp="anmon509.exe xboard"
and see what you get then .
