Would you please let me know the configuration you are using in the winboard.ini for Yace 0.18. My eMail address is utzingerkurt@hotmail.com. Many thanks.Configuration: Athlon 800MHz, 32Mb hash and ponder off.

Generally you can't just reuse the commandline in the WinBoard.ini. Mine reads:I never used a phalanx before so i use the same that i use for crafty
or should i use it like the one in anmon ?
thanks for the url

I only use the name of the executable and the path:Would you please let me know the configuration you are using in the winboard.ini for Yace 0.18. My eMail address is utzingerkurt@hotmail.com. Many thanks.

\"Phalanx_22c -l+ -t32768 -r500 -o-\" /fd=c:\\Engines\\PhalanxC
for the Corbit version and
\"Phalanx_22 -l+ -t32768 -r500\" /fd=c:\\Engines\\Phalanx
for the Dobes version.
I suggest checking with Franks setup pages at
http://www.in-trier.de/~quisinsky/schach/uebersicht.htm
before installing a new engine. The english translation/interpretation is close to understandable)).

Quite a few engines require options like xboard, -xboard or xb to function at all, which is why Frank's pages are so useful.ussually when i am testing programs for the first time i just type the programs
name in the start up box, for example: the first game after downloading phalanx i just typed "phalanx" in the white side and clicked ok to play a game.
is that ok? or thus it make a differance?
