It is good to keep my tweaked version as understood separate from that of Dr. Hyatt. If that serves as a reminder, then leave it as 17.01. I use that nomenclature since that way my archive files line up nicely. I have every version since 15.17 including all the source code, etc. I make some changes, but I do not offer any support. The only reason anyone might want to use my version is that:
0. It sometimes does better than the standard version for some machines
1. It allows bigger pathnames
2. It allows processing of enormous PGN input files (multiple gigabytes)
3. It sometimes comes out earlier than other versions.
However, the official release is and continues to be that at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Caveat Emptor.
