crafty+winboard on chess.net 0.1 second per move not working

hi..
thanks for help on this www board.. i set crafty to 0.1 sec/move and
also connected with winboard to chess.net and crafty is working there
okay(just a small test unrated games only) and also accuclck is
working(it didn't work at start.. so i can see it works now)
but, crafty is set to st=0.1 and is spending more than 1 second
practicaly to make a move.. like 37 sec for 34 moves etc.. maybe
it is impossible to reach 0.1 seconds timing under windows and
unix is required for that ?! is so.. must it be xboard under xwin
hmm can't it be done from console without xwin ?
or is there a way to actually make crafty play in 0.1 seconds online?
i saw a small thread on ccc about shredder playing good 1 0 online on
chess.net and also crafty account called computerflob
thanks for any help..

I've never seen anything indicating that Crafty WOULD play 0.1 sec/move, you should be able to add st=1 to the crafty.rc file and restrict Crafty to 1 sec/move though. I'm not understanding why you'd want it to spend less time searching than that.
If you are trying to get Crafty to play weaker then there are better ways to do that, there's also dozens of weaker Winboard programs available that can play very respectable games of Chess.

If you are trying to get Crafty to play weaker then there are better ways
just put st=0.1 and see.. internally it forces crafty to think no longer
than 0.1 sec per move..
or look at this post i got here as reply
http://f11.parsimony.net/forum16635/messages/1079.htm
i'm not trying to get crafty to play WEAKER, i'm trying to get crafty to
play FASTER.. for 1 0 games online against humans, i wonder if it is
possible to make it spend no longer than about 5 seconds for the entire
game..
but it seems winboard or windows can't handle it?!
anyone else can reply on that please?
