Does Sos require an init file? The program stops thinking just out of
book. I have 192 meg so I don't think memory is a problem.

In my SOS-folder I have the following:
SOS.exe,
sos.bk,
cygwin1.dll.
With these files mine works. Hope that helps.
Best wishes...

Thanks Mogens, I'm missing the .dll file. I notice this file is also required
for Gromit too, do you know exactly what its supposed to do? How did you get it
and is it free?

I don't know what the dynamic link library file does, but I suppose it's usable concerning the execution of specific operations. Corbit has compiled various engines so that the library isn't necessary, e.g. ExChess and Phalanx. There's a link on the Gromit webpage to the creators of the library. So I assume it's free. I got it from downloading Phalanx, I think.
Best wishes...

Hi Paul,
it is free. Try a search with http://ftpsearch.lycos.com/ and download the newest version you find. It is a good idea to copy the .dll to a directory included in your path, e.g. c:\windows. So you need only one copy of this file.
