Hello,
Gabor Szots GS-3 tournament is online.
The next tournaments: JH-4, CK-3 and the BB-13 (when ready) !
Interesting for my webpage and the programmer are tournaments with longer time controls or big tournaments with blitz level (example the tournaments of Brice Boissel).
Longer time controls ?
I think blitz games are interested, because it`s interested to see what the programs make on slower and faster computer.
But mutch more better are tournaments with game in 30/60 minutes or 40 moves in 10/20/40/120 minutes.
So the programmer can donwload the files and can look in the games for seach mistakes. A reason for the programmer to give here programs for free ! The programmer get a good feadback !
I think it is interested to surf in my 50 tournament HTML pages for all visitors.
When I have the tournaments JH-4, CK-3 and BB-13 I make an big download from all these tournaments on my pages. At the moment 11.000 games. I edit the games with Chess-Base 7.0 and the download then with PGN and CBH format.
Regards
Frank

Here's a couple of games brewing overnight. In the first game things looked okay for SOS except for whites annoying a-pawn, which decides it all after the exchange of queens. The second looks like a Kings Indian defence. Rumoured to be a bad opening for computers and it looks to be true. Since the good performance in my last tournament SOS continues to prove its ability in longer games.

This is the next two matches of my 10 game matchup between Crafty and SOS on my PII-266MHz/64Mb. SOS has 20Mb hash and Crafty 16Mb. 4-piece Nalimov and a few 5 piece. The timecontrol is 40 moves in 100 minutes. SOS takes the lead after winning the fourth game. Craftys 38... Qxb4 looks dubiuos.
