Interesting idea for winboarders !

Hello Winboarders !
I have an interesting idea:
It would be very interesting to have games of humans against amateurs programs
so the idea is:
Every mans who post in this forum can play two slow games against an amateur program and post games in the forum ( The first with white and the second with black ).
We can begin with lG2000V2.5 for example. After that we have just to compile games in one pgn file call : Winboard Forum Members VS LG2000V2.5 for example and we can do this with a lot of programs.
PS: Games must be serious so no takebacks, no help and please don't play 10 games and post only your two victories and post games even if you lose 2-0 :-))
Any voluntary ?
Best Regards

I won't play a computer at anything slower than 40/2, so ten games is simply too many for me.

You might want to read the post again. It is only two slow games. I don't know if I'm interested. I usually don't play against computers, but I might try a few training games to see how it goes.
Best wishes...

I really like this idea and will have fun to play some myself although I seriously doubt you will find many volunteers if you start with LGG 2.5 :-)) .
I would like something with huge increments like 30/10 or even 60/10 ; while operating computer program on ICC for some time I am sometimes quite impressed by a few humans who while not being able to play better chess than me sure are _way_ superior when it is about playing a computer .
Also the posters if they really succeed from time to time will have to face the terror of being accused of all kind of cheating ; well : who cares ;-) ?
I will try two games this weekend to give it a try against averno which might be nore suited to my strength when I disable all information and have to avoid all tactical blunders and post them here ( hmm , why exactly did I say that :-)) ) ??
ok , we will see ....

What time controls are you thinking? I don't use extremly slow time controls likw Dann does (it would do me no good). You would not see any wins out of me.
I like your idea. It might also be interesting to see human and program annotations of the games.
It might also be an interesting forum idea if someone felt like setting one up, a forum for posting and analyzing human/computer Chess games. Has this been done yet?

For a moment , I thought you were thinking of having a Winboard program vs the World (well winboard forum world) contest much like Kasparov vers the World..
We could choose a super strong program run it on the fastest computer we can muster..
The rest of us would vote on the moves which would be chosen once every day or maybe two days...

Hello,
I think 60min KO is a good time control.
The idea is to give for example 2 weeks for playing two games against the same
program.
