Hi,
I choose SOS inplace of Phalanx....thx for input.
CSTal went on the attack with Bxh3 as unsound as it was SOS
played well gaining the initiative then let it all slip away as
CSTal found a nice repetition that SOS missed.
Time CSTal 50 minutes........SOS 42 minutes.
Game 2 CSTal has the white pieces so I look for more fireworks
from him. No boring games with this program !!

Played it through. Nice game. Didn't quite understand 43.Qxd6 because the repetition seems forced, but I'm a chess imbicile so I might be completely wrong. Maybe Re4 or Rh1 would have been better? Hopefully SOS wins the second.
Best wishes...

43. Qxd6 seems ok problem looks like 44. Qc5 whereas Qa3 would prevent
Rxg4+ and if h5 Qc3+ sadly a win missed.
Thanks.

You're right. I wasn't sure if Qa3 was sufficient to prevent the checking frenzy, but it does without problems. One shouldn't analyze on a miniature board at 2am :o). Pity about the missed win, but it proved that SOS can compete I think.
Best wishes...

I think, instead of 44.Qc5? SOS had to play 44.Qd7...
44.. Qc2+ 45. Re2!
44.. Qg6 45.Re8 h5 46.Bd3!!
44.. Qxd7 45.Bxd7 h5 46.Rh1!
Very interesting game proving SOS strength...
King regards,
George
