Damn it, I just got enough mem to use SOS this weekend. But it's not enough to give up ~50mb for Noonian. Too bad.

Yes, but only if it has opening.epd in its directory. Otherwise quits with an error message.
It is enough to put an empty file with that name into its directory to make it work. So perhaps any epd file can be used as an opening book.

Damn it, I just got enough mem to use SOS this weekend. But it's not enough to give up ~50mb for Noonian. Too bad.

Were getting an IBM 3090 with one Gig of 64 bit Ram. I can hardly wait. It will also have a C and a C++ compiler. I'm big-time tingly over it.
