Tournament ML-10 starts.

Tonight I'll start my tournament ML-10, which is somewhat experimental by nature. It also includes a couple of interesting programs. Information about the tournament can be found at the usual place.
Best wishes...

Hi Mogens,
This is how a tourney _should_ be handled, not much noise, well handled,
very refreshing to see.

Thank you for the compliment. I find the tournament interesting, but that may not be the opinion of others, so there's no reason for a lot of noise. Give the relevant information and allow people to judge for themselves whether it's good or bad.
Best wishes...

It's pretty hard to come up with a WinBoard tournament that isn't interesting.
Since your tournaments are usually longer time controls that makes them doubly interesting to me.
Zchess 1.61 gave Amy a real paddling. Maybe it's quite a leap up from 1.2.
Do you have any other results?

Der Bringer 1.7 won the first two matches against Yace, but I've experienced a couple of crashes that has set me back. I think it's my own fault, so hopefully that match is concluded today.
Best wishes...

Just wondering is Zchess 1.61 publically available? Did I somehow miss it? Not impossible when so many new updates and new engines come out every day..

No, it's not publicly available. There'll probably be a new public Zchess version after the Mindsports event.
Best wishes...

I guess that is true. Tournaments with very old programs or with bullet timecontrol don't interest me at all.
The results can found accessing Tournament ML-10 from the link below. Games are available by request.
