Results from the No-Ponder Non-Tournament

This non-tournament came about from my curiousity about certain engines. The
standings are a result from match game play. Each engine plays a 20 game match
against each other(any doubles are weeded out in Rebel). Games are 60 minutes for each 40 moves. The machine used was a Pentium 400 with 128meg Ram(no engined allowed to have more than 32m). Each engine has played at least 140 games. Books used were those that came with the Programs except for Yace and Amy
which I used Frank's books.

Cometb21 56%
SOS(Nov) 55%
TCB 4.5 51%
Anmon506 50%
Gromit 3 50%
Yace 15 46%
Amy 44%
Phalanx22 44%

I purposely did not include Crafty or Lgolaith since I assumed that they were
at a different level. I may have to re-think Golaith though since other posted
results show it to be equal to Comet and SOS.
I provide these results for your enjoyment only and do not think that it provides conclusive proof that program A is better than B. I do note the gap
between engines. There appears to be 3 distinct groups but I realize that
these might change if I include Lgoliath. Pgn is available upon request.

trust me if crafty and goliath belongs to a differant level so does SOS, anmon and yace .....
I estemate these (yace , sos and anmon)engines to be atmost 20-30 elo less than crafty, which is not significant to make crafty win a certain tourny all the time, IMO.
but again I may be wrong.

I have decided to include lgoliath in this match game play. We shall see in about 3 weeks if it is any better than SOS or Comet. I don't think Yace is
in the same catagory although I freely admit it is my favorite.
