Hello group,
I was playing a game User v TCBishop and I mistakenly moved a Knight (Nd5) which was skewered to my King by a Queen, in other words, an illegal move. Strangely, WB and TCBishop actually allowed the move, a sort of self-made check !
Does the group consider this a bug of WB and/or TCBishop, or is this a well known problem because of compatibility ??
Fritz6a and its' respective GUI would not allow an illegal move of this nature, or if I was using WB on an ICS, an illegal move would not be allowed.
Perhaps, this is a coding feature that should be added to WB's system, automatically. Here is the game up to and including the move in question:
User - TCBishop_0045
Computer chess game
08.07.2000
1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.Nxe5 d6 4.Nxf7 Kxf7 5.d4 c5 6.dxc5 Qa5+ 7.Nc3 Qxc5 8.Be3 Qb4 Nd5 Line
The move 9. Nd5 does not have a 9. beside it, however, the move did register on the board.
Thx,
Sean
