However when I want to do testing with two computers (using wbengine)I cannot get yace to operate, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong or isnt Yace designed to operate with wbengine.
I do not know wbengine (I assume, you don't mean, what I know as Winboard
adapter for Fritz), but the name may indicate, that Yace should work. If
wbengine has a debug mode like Winboard, you can mail me the debug file and yace.log. Can I download wbengine or at least it's documentation somewhere?

Dieter
Thanks for your reply Dieter
Wbengine is a program written by Remi Coulom(author of the crazy bishop),which enables winboard engines to play each other on separate computers, also will let winboard engines play against any auto232 programs(eg genius6,shredder4 etc),it does not use the winboard interface but has its own graphic display,it is fantastic for testing programs with two computers,it may be obtained at
http://www-leibniz.imag.fr/~coulom/Ponder on is used on both computers ,the two computers are connected together with a null modem cable, all my winboard programs work ok with it except Yace.Hope you can download it and get yace working with it,if you have any queries email me at
