Amended result (and apologies) - Bringer 1.7 v CometB23.

I originally posted this result as a +4 -2 =2 in favour of Comet. However, only the last 4 games of the match were played with Bringer on consistent hash settings (10pos, 4eval, 2pawn). I replayed the first 4 games of the match on these settings in the interests of consistency and guess what? The correct outcome of the match is: Bringer 1.7 v CometB23 +4 -3 =1.
Sorry for being too hasty in posting my original message. Hope I haven't stuffed anybody's ratings up too much!
P166, ponder off, 16mb hash each, 60 moves in 60 minutes.
Look for the result of my Yace0.18 v Little Goliath 2000 (v28) being posted tomorrow.

A good result for Bringer , in fact I think both of them , where the 2nd one is quite sensational .
If Bringer was really slowed down by your posted initial settings by say 10% it is not such a big deal ; this is the first match I have seen where Bringer held itself well against Comet and I suspect Bringer was a little lucky ( but haven't checked on Comet for a long time I have to admit ) .
Is there a chance to have a look at your games ? If they are not on a webpage I would be happy if you could send them to me per email ( just click on my name )or post them here .

Pete. I enter all of my match games into a Fritz5 database. If you can give me simple instructions on how to send a copy on I can do so.

Just send me the file Bringer.pgn out of the Bringer folder where all games are automatically saved ; if it is too big , it is a text file : open it with a text editor and cut and paste the interesting games into an email or a post here.
An additional advantage is that Bringers evaluation are saved there too so I prefer this one anyway.
